Terms of Service

Effective October 2, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and DKV Games ("we", "us") about your use of WordHinge. By using WordHinge you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The app

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use WordHinge on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and Apple's standard terms for apps from the App Store.

Your account

You need an account, created with Sign in with Apple, to play other people online. You're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete it at any time in Settings.

Playing fairly and respectfully

When you play online, you agree not to:

• choose a username that is offensive, hateful, sexually explicit, or impersonates someone else;
• harass, threaten or abuse other players;
• cheat — for example by using automated tools, or by tampering with the app or its connection to our servers;
• try to access other players' accounts or information, or to disrupt the service.

You can block any player, and report a player who breaks these rules from their game's menu or from Settings. We review reports and may remove usernames, end games, or suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.

Your content

Your username and display name are shown to other players. You're responsible for them, and you give us permission to show them in the game. We may change a username that breaks these terms.

The word list

WordHinge checks words against the ENABLE word list, which is in the public domain, together with common modern words from the SCOWL word list. A word being accepted or rejected doesn't reflect our views of it.

Availability and changes

We work to keep online play available, but we don't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or end features, including online play. If we change these terms, we'll update the date above; continuing to use WordHinge after a change means you accept the new terms.

Disclaimers and liability

WordHinge is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties and aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost game data. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
